I tell all my clients that if you want to play (in Google’s sandbox), you’re going to have to pay. Payment in the form of “fresh, new, relevant, timely, substantial, frequent, valuable, useful” (etc. etc.) content.
Reality check: most of us don’t have time for that.
The solution? Curate the content.
Or, at least some of it. We all get blasted with articles on LinkedIn, spammed with email newsletters, inundated with stories on news channels. And some of these are valuable! Voila: content. I like to think of it as “borrowing.” And it frees you up to occasionally actually write a piece or two as well.
