website in a day

life events (not to be confused with “live” events)

It’s been exactly (does math*) 113 days since I last sent one of these emails. (Ouch).

I care about you. I really do. It’s just that sometimes, life happens.

Which is maybe why one of the bajillion marketing emails I subscribe to had a headline that stood out today:

Live events happening this fall!

Except I read “Life events happening this fall!” and got excited that someone else was anticipating life happening and actually getting personal in an email. Which felt like permission that I could, too.

Nope.

I mean, I’m still going to share my life events for the fall, but said permission is coming from within, not without.

Alas. Let’s talk about my “Life events happening this fall.”

Actually, it’s “event.”

OK here it is: I’m having a baby in November.

That’s it. That’s the event.

The end.

I kid (literally…)

Christine!

OK I’ll stop.

Anyways, I know, you’re wondering “But, dear junebird, what does that mean for business?”

Good question.

Gooooood question.

My track record with maternity leave is dismal at best. We’re talking 0 for 2, trying to set up an “out of office” email during active labor, history of dropping the phone on the baby** because I fell asleep feeding him while responding to emails kind of track record.

Dismal is generous.

However! This time will be different! This time I’ll be:

  1. Wrapping up projects on October 31
  2. Setting my OOO automation up on November 1
  3. Buying a plush, furry case for my phone

(and clearly assuming that babies respect any sort of convenient timeline and come on time, despite another 0/2 track record here…)

In the spirit of #1, I’ve decided to pause taking on new big projects until December and offer a limited number of one-and-done projects in September and October.

So, without further ado:

Introducing…WEBSITE IN A DAY!

Website in a Day is exactly what it sounds like: I build (and launch) your website in one day. Yes, I offer Website in a Week, but a day just sounds so much more efficient. And I’m all for efficiency.

So, one day it is. We meet in the morning, I work until after lunch, then we review and go live in the afternoon.

It’s that simple.

Now, if you’re the kind of person who

  1. Prefers complicated processes that take an unnecessarily long time to plan and execute
  2. Appreciates time to sit with options, get multiple opinions, and is the reason marketers have so many revision memes
  3. Doesn’t need a website

Then this opportunity ain’t for you.

However, if you

  1. Have hemmed and hawed over getting your website built for longer than you’d care to admit
  2. Are time and/or cash limited
  3. Need a website

Then this opportunity absolutely is for you.

And here’s the cool part, whether you fit the first or second profile, there’s something in it for you. Read to the end

Here are the deets:

I have TWO days left this month for Website in a Day projects:

  • Monday 9/22
  • Friday 9/26
  • (more coming in October)

What you get:

  • 4-page WordPress website + including custom home page
  • All design (inc. images/icons), development, copy done for you
  • Hosting free through 2025

What it costs:

  • $4,500
  • 3 hours of your time on your selected day
  • 1 hour before the day (30 min call + time sending me any assets you have)

If this isn’t for you but you know someone who needs it, refer them and get $500 when they book one of the dates above.

No brainer, right!

And now, a word from our conscious…

This is the first time I’ve come out with a direct offer in one of these emails and it feels sort of weird, but also sort of freeing. I mean, we all know email marketing is meant to generate leads (and ultimately sales), right? So, here I am calling a spade a spade.

But also asking you:

“Can I help you check a website off your “need to do” list?”

and if not…

“Who do you know that needs this? (and can I give you $500 for the referral who books?)”

Yes? Great. Here are your next steps:

  1. Decide if this is for you.
  2. If so, reply to the email. If not but you know someone, tell them to email [email protected]
  3. Get a new website (or claim your $500. We’re all about choose your own adventure around here)

I promise it won’t be 113 days before you hear from me again (of course, you’re welcome to unsubscribe if you prefer to make it eternity).

Ok. Let’s go eat a damn snack***

* JK I ChatGPT’d this like a normal person. Why #math in your head?
** My husband still holds this over my head (ba-dum-CCHHHH)
*** Google this at your own risk. Rex Ryan has some mouth…

Want to be first in line? Here are three ways we can work together as early as DECEMBER:

Business in the front, party chaos in the back. Does your brand feel a bit like a mullet? Let’s get organized and find cohesion with a Communication Codex.

DIY got you feeling DOA? We’ve got marketing services for that. Except video – we don’t do video. But we know a guy!

Are you following a roadmap or playing DDR? There’s hope. Probably. We’ll start with a clarity session and fly from there.
